Maintenance Required before Printing
Ink Cartridge Maintenance
The components in the ink have a tendency to precipitate. The deposits may harden and cause problems
including printer malfunctions if left alone for an extended period of time, and this is especially true for the
white ink.

Shake new ink cartridges 50 times (about 15 seconds) before installing them.

Every day before starting work, remove the white ink cartridges, shake them 50 times (about 15 seconds),
and then reinsert them.
Maintenance Required after Printing
Printing Tests and Normal Cleaning
Check for dot drop-out by performing printing tests before and after daily operations. If dot drop-out occurs,
perform cleaning of the print heads (normal cleaning). Leaving the dot drop-out untreated may damage the
print heads, so be sure to check for this condition each day after operation.
