Prepare the Quadrocopter
Before flying the quadrocopter, first read about its control functions in this
manual and then perform some exercises.
Notes:
− Do not fly in rain, wind, fog, at night or when people, vehicles, birds,
animals or fragile objects are within range of the drone.
– Fly only in locations without risk of injury or damage.
– Only fly in stable weather conditions, clear visibility, without risk of wind
and / or rain.
– Always start the quadrocopter from the ground, as the quadrocopter
automatically recalibrates itself each time it is restarted. This process
takes about 1 second.
– If the quadrocopter is off course after a collision or crash during flight,
land the quadrocopter and reboot to allow the quadrocopter to recali-
brate.
– Before each restart of the quadrocopter, check that the rotor arms are
fully extended and locked in place.
– Pay attention to the current wind situation. The quadrocopter may only
be flown when there is no wind!
1. Place the quadrocopter on a flat surface on the ground. The quadrocop-
ter must be facing you with the tail (rear position LEDs [35]).
2. First practice controlling the hover with the left control stick [25]. Then
try to change the position of the quadrocopter (forward, backward,
sideways) using the right control stick [17].
