Prepare the Quadrocopter
3. Finally, practise turning the quadrocopter around its own axis with the
left control stick [25].
When you have mastered the basic functions of the quadrocopter, you
can perform your first controlled flight.
Note: Attention!
– Note that the range of the remote control signal is approx. 40 metres.
You must stay within this range with the quadrocopter. If the quadro-
copter loses connection with the remote control, it will immediately
switch automatically to landing mode and will continuously reduce
altitude until landing.
– Only fly the quadrocopter when there is no wind, as the quadrocopter
cannot be controlled in windy conditions and may drift. If you run into
wind currents, use speed modes 2 or 3 (normal mode and advanced
mode, see chapter ”Setting the speed“.
