1. IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Please read the following instructions carefully and
completely and please keep this instruction manual
in a safe place so that you can consult the opera-
ting instructions at any time. All of the directions
given in this instruction manual are to be followed
precisely as described.
Caution – danger! Whenever you see this
symbol in the operating instructions, it indica-
tes that extreme caution is imperative.
Warning – hot surfaces! Risk of skin burns
from hot surfaces.
Always wear protective gloves.
Failure to observe these safety instructions and pre-
cautions can result in very serious injuries.
• When used on a barbecue or in an oven, the
temperature sensor and lead can become very
hot. Therefore, always wear protective gloves
when handling them.
• The temperature sensor is suitable for tempera-
tures from -25°C to a maximum of +300°C.
Temperatures outside that range damage the
product and are not indicated on the display.
• The meat thermometer sensor is not suitable for
use in an oven with the grill switched on.
• On no account must the meat thermometer dis-
play unit be exposed to temperatures over 50°C;
excessive heat will cause damage. Therefore, the
