The
mod0, mod1, mod2,
and
mod3
entries indicate that the system recognizes four hyperSPARC
processors.
mod0
and
mod1
correspond to slot 0;
mod2
and
mod3
correspond to slot 1. If a single-CPU
hyperSPARC module were installed (slot 0), the system would recognize only one processor in
mod0.
If a
dual-CPU module were installed (slot 0), the system would recognize processors in
mod0
and
mod1
. If two
single-CPU modules were installed (slot 0 and slot 1) the system would recognize processors in
mod0
and
mod2
.
Note: The most current revision for the boot PROMs is 2.22.1H. However, during booting, only 2.22 is
displayed on the screen. In order to verify the revision of the PROM, use the “Stop” (L1) and “A” key to enter
the PROM monitor level. At the “ok” prompt, type:
.version
The screen will display a message similar to the following, where
Version 1H
indicates the exact revision
of the PROM:
Release 2.22 Version 1H created 95/06/15 12:06:51
This message is an example only. The actual message displayed will depend on the PROM in the system*.
At the “ok” prompt, type
go
to return to the kernel.

5. Wait for the system to boot. When the
login:
prompt is displayed, log in and resume operations.
