Tamper
The KE-30 is secured to the wall with a screw (see Section
3.1). Tamper
control is implemented via a knock-out hole when the KE-30 is
installed. Any attempt to tamper with the system sets off an alarm.

Utilizing the KE-30 Wireless Keypad
The KE-30 functions as both an Arming/Disarming unit and as a Status
Viewing unit.
5.1
Arm/Disarm and Basic Operations
The following subsections describe how to arm the system using the
various options.
5.1.1
Basic Arming using the Keypad
1.
Press the ARM AWAY key and enter the user code.
The system beeps and the ARM AWAY LED indicator flashes.
2.
Press the ARM HOME key and enter the user code.
The system beeps and the ARM HOME LED indicator flashes.
3.
Press the DISARM key and enter the user code.
The DISARM LED indicator flashes.

QUICK AWAY and QUICK HOME Functions
1.
Press the AWAY button for 2 seconds.
The system beeps and is armed AWAY.

Press the HOME button for 2 seconds.
The system beeps and is armed HOME.

Emergency Alarm Activation

simultaneously for 3 seconds to activate the
emergency alarm.
5.2
Status Viewing
The Arm Home LED indicator, the Arm Away LED indicator, and
the Disarm LED indicator flash, but they do not remain on
continuously.
The KE-30 indicates a panel's status by flashing the relevant LED
indicator, and displays one of the following statuses:
Armed Away
Armed Home
Disarmed
In Memory and Trouble
Bypass
When a new KE-30 unit is turned on, a flashing Trouble LED indicator
indicates that the unit must be enrolled. Once it has been enrolled, the
Disarm LED indicator flashes.
If the system is experiencing trouble, the Trouble LED indicator (!)
flashes.
If there is an alarm in memory in the system, the Alarm LED indicator
(M) flashes.
If the system is bypassed, the Bypass LED indicator (Z) flashes.
5.3
RFID Function
The RFID function is deactivated by default, since if it is
activated, battery life is significantly shortened.
5.3.1
Enabling the RFID Function

When the RFID is activated, the system beeps once.

Cancelling the RFID Function

5.3.3
Enrolling Proximity Cards
Please refer to the Proximity Card Enrolling section of the HomeLogiX
wireless panel manual or refer to any Rosslare wireless panel manual
that supports the relevant proximity cards.
To use a proximity card to arm or disarm the system:
1.
Activate the RFID function.
2.
Press on the Away, Home, or Disarm button
3.
Place the card directly above the keypad.
The system activates the desired function (Arm Away/Home or
Disarm).
Changes or modifications to this equipment not expressly
approved by the party responsible for compliance (Rosslare
Ltd.) could void the user’s authority to operate the equipment.
