Worn out tools must be recycled at a suitable recycling facility. Do not dispose of in the household waste.
For further information contact your local authority. Dispose of the packaging material according to the
type of material and accordingly to any local regulations.
- After using the device first shut the gas cylinder valve.
- Be sure to burn off any gas remaining in the torch and be sure that the flame is extinguished before
you put the device down.
- Shut the regulator valve on the handle once the flame has gone out.
- Allow the appliance to cool down as certain parts of the system can become very hot even after the
device has been used for only a short period.
- The device must be allowed to cool down completely before disassembly and storage!
- Open the regulator valve on the handle further.
- The burner retains the preset flame level when the economy valve lever is not depressed. Press the
economy valve lever to produce a larger flame.
- Release the economy valve lever during short breaks in your work.
- Always place the burner on the burner stand (supplied).
- Avoid twisting the hose.
MAINTENANCE AND STORAGE
- The gas cylinder may be changed only in the open, well away from sources of ignition and other persons.
- Close the cylinder valve and the appliance valve.
- If the appliance was in use, ensure that the flame has completely extinguished and let the appliance
cool down completely.
- Unscrew the gas regulator and remove it.
- Proceed as described in the section ‘Connecting to a gas cylinder’.
Clean the system regularly with a dry cloth. Do not use aggressive cleaning agents, solvents or petroleum
spirit. Cleaning the copper soldering tips with a pumice or a wet sponge.
- The machine contains no user-serviceable parts.
- The injector does not require cleaning.
- Do not modify the appliance in any way.
- Repairs may only be carried out by a competent person. Otherwise contact the manufacturer. See the
address at the back of the manual.
- If the burner is not to be used over longer periods, keep it at a safe, cool, dry and well-ventilated place
out of the reach of children.
- Protect the gas cylinder from sunlight and never expose it to temperatures above 50°C.
- The gas tank must be detached if the burner is not to be used over longer periods, or if it is to be
transported.
- Reusable tanks must always be refilled at authorised companies. Improper refilling can lead to serious
accidents.
- In general, all national regulations regarding operation, transportation and storage must to be followed.
