Safety Instructions
Read and follow the instructions. The non-respect of the instructions cancels the guarantee in the event of
problems.
•
Only use the pipe cutter to cut PE-HD pipes.
•
Do never cut the extremity of a pipe, the lower vee has to lean against the pipe.
•
Assembly problems may occur in case of an inappropriate pipe cutter position. The cutting angle
α
ie.
the angle between the pipe cutter blade and the plan perpendicular to the pipe axle, has to be lower
than 3° (s. Fig.
B-2
).
•
Never place the pipe cutter at the extremity of a pipe. The pipe cutter would deform the pipe and the
blade would be bent during the cutting.
•
Do not cut welding with a pipe cutter.
•
Do never exceed the capacity of the pipe cutter.
Caution: Always wear gloves during the operation of the pipe cutter, to avoid serious
injuries.

The pipe cutter can be used in trenches. Ensure that the trench is sufficiently wide to be able to close your
pipe cutter without any problems.
Caution: Only use the pipe cutter to cut PE-HD pipes. Always place the pipe cutter blade
perpendicular to the pipe.
