3.2
Description
The ROWELD P 630 W is a butt-welding machine with integrated heating system that has been
especially designed for use at shop-floor level.
The following welded connections for PE, PP and PVDF pipes with external diameters of 315 –
630 mm can be produced thanks to the versatility of the ROWELD range of welding machines:

In principle, the machine consists of:
Basic machine, pipe chucks, reduction clamping inserts, milling unit & heater.
Left and right fitting chucks and the relevant reduction clamping inserts, which are available as
accessories, can also be used when welding elbow-pipes.
When welding pre-welded assemblies, the 4-jaw clamping disc, available as accessory, is to be
used.
A T-piece chuck should be used when manufacturing T-pieces (Art-No: 5.4224).
3.3
Operating
instructions
In accordance with national or EU ordinances and guidelines, e. g. DVS 2212,
Section I, only duly qualified and authorised personnel are allowed to operate the
ROWELD welding machines.
Only trained and authorised welders are allowed to operate the machine!
3.3.1 Setting up of the unit
Place the machine bed on the hall floor, level it and then drill the holes to secure it in place.
A conservation agent has been applied to all of the blank parts and this must be
cleaned off and the parts should then be lightly oiled prior to the commissioning!
3.3.2 Start
up
Please read through the operating instructions and safety instructions
attentively before you put the butt fusion welding machine into operation!
During operation, stay a safe distance away from the machine, and do
not reach into the rotating knife!
Use the shrouded plug to connect the mains cable to the
400V
3 P + N 50 Hz / 32 A power supply unit.
Switch on the main switch mounted on the back of the
machine.
Start the controller from the control panel.
The white indicator light will come on and the following
page will be displayed on the touch screen:
