Adjusting the Tread of a Scissors Stair
A)
Open the hatch cover completely and pull out
the stair until it touches the ground.
B)
Loosen the hex nuts (2) on the inside of the
tread until the treads move freely. You must not
use the Stair!
C)
Get the treads to be as level as possible (the
tooths will lock them in place) then tighten all
hex nuts (8) again with approximately 8 Nm.

Adjusting the Center Support:
Only used if there are more then 13 steps
A)
Open the hatch cover (3) and pull out the scissors stair (1) until it hits the stop bolt (8) if
possible let the stair touch the ground. If it is not possible let the stair hover above the
ground but to not put any load on it.
B)
While the stair has no load on it loosen the hex nuts (7) and move the bearing block (5)
on its C-rail (6) until the stair touches the ground or the stop bolt (8) hits the end of the
center support (4).
C)
Tighten nut (7) again. Stair can be used now.
