For transportation:
•
Close off all open hydraulic connections with protection
caps to prevent impurities or water from entering.
•
Attach the winch securely prior to transportation. The
winch can be bolted to a pallet, for example.
The following conditions apply to the storage of winches
and accessories:
•
Store in a dry, dust-free location.
•
Do not expose to corrosive materials.
•
Protect from direct sunlight.
•
Avoid mechanical vibrations.
•
Storage temperature: -40 °C to +63 °C.
•
Operating Temperature Range: -40 to +63 °C, depend-
ing on the hydraulic oil used, the usage temperature is
limited additionally.
•
Max. relative air humidity: 95 %, not condensing.

Mechanical installation
DANGER!
Risk of injuries!
Hoisting a load with an improperly installed winch
can result in winch failure and / or dropping of the
load, causing severe injury or death.
WARNING!
Risk of injuries!
The winch must be mounted with the drum axis in
horizontal orientation to assure proper spooling
and lubrication of the gear.
8.2.1
Mounting the winch
OEM must calculate loads and resulting forces directions
on equipment and dimension accordingly. Loads and re-
sulting forces vary depending on position and direction of
rope outlet.
