10.2 Maintenance procedure
10.2.1
Winch cleaning
WARNING!
Risk of injuries!
Do not clean the winch or the rope with a hot
steam cleaner or a high-pressure cleaner.
This may cause premature wear due to corrosion
When used in extreme environmental conditions (i.e. expo-
sure to salt water, extreme dust or mud) the winch must be
cleaned on regular base to avoid premature wear and to
guarantee good operation.
Use clear water and a brush to clean the winch.

Rope care

When used in extreme environmental conditions (i.e.
exposure to salt water, extreme dust or mud ) the rope
must be cleaned on regular base to avoid premature
wear and to guarantee good operation.

Use clear water and a brush to clean the rope. Let the
rope dry.

In order to increase the service life of the rope,
ROTZLER recommends to apply a rope dressing after
cleaning. ROTZLER rope dressing part no is
0042820008.
•
The rope dressing may only be applied on dry ropes in a
dry environment.
•
Minimum required ambient temperature is 15°C / 59°F.
At an ambient temperature of 25°C / 77°F, the treated
rope is ready for use after approx. 2 hours. At lower am-
bient temperatures, the drying time can be up to one
day.
