Rope check
DANGER!
Danger from damaged wire ropes!
Damaged wire ropes can break under load and
cause severe injury:
The wire rope must be inspected for damage,
individual wire breaks, and deformation accord-
ing to the national regulations of the user coun-
try after every use. Immediately replace dam-
aged ropes!
Always wear protective gloves when handling
ropes!
•
Ropes are subject to wear and corrosion. For safety it is
mandatory to check and replace the rope on regular
base according to maintenance plan.
•
The valid standard for maintenance, inspection and dis-
card of wire ropes is ISO 4309.
•
The relevant technical data of the standard ROTZLER
TITAN ropes can be found in chapter “ropes” within this
manual. Customer specific rope are defined within the
service card which is delivered with the product addi-
tionally.

Rope change

Risk of injuries!
Using the wrong rope could lead to serve injury or
death, major mechanical failure, dropping of the
load or damage to the device.
Material:
Gloves, new rope
Working steps:
1.
Discard old rope

Spool off old rope without load, until the last 3/5 safety
wraps are reached.
■
Shut down winch.
■
Turn rope drum until you have access to the rope pock-
et (1).
■
Loosen the rope wedge (2) in direction of arrow.
■
Pull the old rope out of the rope inlet (3) and discard it.
