FILM SPLICE TABLE ACTIVATED
POSSIBLE CAUSE
1) The out of film sensor has triggered
the splice table to clamp the film end.
JOGGING MODE
POSSIBLE CAUSE
1) The JOG/AUTO selector switch is set
to JOG.
CORRECTIVE ACTION
1) Set the selector switch to AUTO.
TEMPERATURE OUT OF RANGE
POSSIBLE CAUSE
1) The temperature controller is not
turned on.
2) The temperature controller ALM1 value
is to small.
3) The RTD is bad.
4) The heating element is bad.
CORRECTIVE ACTION
1) Set the JAW HEAT ENABLE cell to
ENABLE.
2) Increase the ALM1 value.
3) Check the RTD.
4) Check the heating element.
REGISTRATION FAILED
POSSIBLE CAUSE
1) The film registration photoeye is not
aligned with the registration marks on
the film.
2) The sensitive of the photoeye is set
incorrectly.
3) The film is shiny and reflects the
sensor light source away from the
sensors lens.
CORRECTIVE ACTION
1) Check that the lens of the photoeye is
in the path of the registration marks.
2) Adjust the sensitivity of the photoeye.
Refer to the photoeye specification
sheet in the Electrical Documentation.
3) Angle the sensor 10 to 15 degrees.
FILM CARRIAGE LEFT LIMIT
POSSIBLE CAUSE
1) The film carriage has traveled to its
maximum left limit.
CORRECTIVE ACTION
1) Use the MOVE FILM CARRIAGE cell
to move the carriage towards the
center.
CORRECTIVE ACTION
1) Press the FILM UNCLAMP push-button.
