Operator Interface > Settings Screen
The SYNC MODE SELECT switch activates a screen where you can
choose the method of synchronization; Stroke on Demand or
Master/Slave.
Note:
Before the screen is displayed a password is required.
When Stroke on Demand synchronization is used, the product feeder
constantly sends a status signal to the bagmaker. The signal tells the
bagmaker whether the product feeder is ready to release a product
charge. Just before the bagmaker is ready to receive a charge, it
examines the signal. If the signal indicates that the feeder is ready to
release a charge, the bagmaker sends a dump request signal to the
feeder and then proceeds to make a bag. If the signal indicates that
the feeder is not ready to release a product charge, the bagmaker
stops the forming cycle.
When Master/Slave synchronization is used, the bagmaker sends a
dump request signal to the product feeder just before it is ready to
make a bag. If the feeder is ready to release a product charge, it
sends a dump confirmation signal to the bagmaker and then it
releases a charge. When the bagmaker receives the dump
confirmation signal, it makes a bag in time to receive the product
charge. If the bagmaker does not receive a dump confirmation signal,
then it stops the forming cycle.
