10. "auto-off" system
For your safety, the generator is equipped
with an "auto-off" system which puts the
generator on standby after 8 minutes of non
use, or if it is forgotten.
A red "auto-off" indicator light flashes on the
panel to indicate the device is in standby
mode
- fig. 28
.
To re-activate the generator:
- Press the "auto-off" button.
- Wait for the "steam ready" indicator light to
stop flashing before you resume your
ironing session.
If you do not trigger the steam for at least 8
minutes, for your safety, the "auto-off"
system cuts your generator off.

generator

and wind the power cord by pressing the
cord winder pedal
- fig. 31
. Open the hot iron
storage compartment door, grab the iron rest
plate bar and slide it out. Place your iron on
the iron rest plate, taking care not to touch the
sides of the appliance. Push the iron rest plate
back into its housing
- fig. 32
and close the iron
storage compartment door. Your appliance
has been designed so that you can put the iron
away when it is hot. You can therefore store
your iron directly after your ironing session
without having to wait until it cools.
Pull the steam cord out of the cord guide
- fig.
33
. Fold it and store it in its housing
- fig. 34
.
Unlock the cord guide
- fig. 35
, and push it
completely back into the tube
- fig. 36
. If you
are unable to drive it in completely, do not
force it, reassemble the cord guide and make
sure it is properly unlocked.
Before putting your steam generator away,
empty the tank of water.
Carry the appliance to its storage place. Make
sure that both cords are neatly arranged so
they do not drag on the ground while being
carried.
To make it easier to store, you can fold the
telescopic tube back down.
Press the tube release button and push the
handle in completely.
MAINTENANCE AND
CLEANING
12. Cleaning the generator
The Iron soleplate:
clean the soleplate of your
iron when it is cool with a damp cloth or a non-
abrasive sponge.
The base unit:
Clean the plastic parts of the
appliance occasionally with a soft cloth.
13. Easy descaling of your
steam generator
To extend the life of your steam generator
and avoid scale on your ironing, your steam
generator is equipped with a built-in scale
collector. This collector, located in the tank,
automatically removes the scale that forms
inside.
Operation:
An orange “Calc-Away System” light located
- fig. 37
on the control panel starts flashing to
tell you that the scale collector needs rinsing.
You can end your ironing session but
remember to rinse the collector before you
use it the next time.
Once the steam generator has cooled com-
pletely
- fig. 38
, unclip the upper part of the
collector cover and swing it down until it
touches the ground.
- fig. 39
.
IMPORTANT! This operation must not be
carried out unless the steam generator has
been unplugged for at least two hours and
has cooled down completely.
Do not use any descaling substances (vi-
negar, industrial descaling products, etc.)
when rinsing the scale collector : they could
damage it.
Before emptying your steam generator, it
must always be left to cool for 2 hours to
avoid any risks of scalding.
Do not use any cleaning or descaling pro-
ducts for cleaning the soleplate or the base-
unit. Never hold the iron or the base unit
under the tap.
