Place the filter basket on the percolator tube. Grasp the upper end of the tube
and properly insert the lower end of the tube into the heating section at the
bottom of the unit. (Note: the bottom end of the tube must be correctly placed
in the recess, otherwise the filtering function will fail). Then attach (tighten) the
cover of the unit. Connect the power cord to the power source and turn the
power switch ON/OFF.

When the red (NOT READY) indicator light illuminates, the unit is operating.
When the unit has reached the set temperature and all the coffee powder has
been filtered, the unit will keep the coffee warm. The green (READY) indicator
light, indicating that the unit is keeping warm, will light up and the red indicator
light will go out. Then use the dispenser tap to pour the coffee.

If it is necessary to brew another batch of coffee, the machine and its parts must
first be cooled and cleaned. Then repeat steps 1 to 5 above.

Cleaning and maintenance
a)
Pull the mains plug and let the unit cool down completely before cleaning,
adjusting or replacing accessories and when the unit is not in use.
b)
Use only non-corrosive cleaning agents for cleaning the surfaces.
c)
Only mild detergents designed for cleaning food contact surfaces may be used
to clean the unit.
d)
After each cleaning, all the parts should be dried well before the unit is used
again.
e)
Store the unit in a dry and cool place protected from moisture and direct
sunlight.
f)
Do not spray the unit with a stream of water or immerse it in water.
g)
Make sure that no water enters through the ventilation openings in the casing.
h)
Perform regular inspections of the unit checking technical fitness and any
damages.
i)
Use a soft, damp cloth for cleaning.
j)
Do not use sharp and/or metal objects (e.g. a wire brush or metal spatula) for
cleaning, as these may damage the surface of the material from which the unit
is made.
k)
Carefully open the lid or pull out the internal parts to avoid injury.
l)
A dishwasher can be used to clean the lid, filter basket, and parts of the
percolator tube. To clean the percolator tube, remove the bottom end of the
tube from the heating section. If the percolator tube is clogged by coffee
powder, push the tube through with a thin rod or wooden stick and then rinse
with water.
