RINSING, CLEANING AND DRAINING
For best taste and unit performance, it is recommended that the unit be cleaned each time the water bottle is replaced. Use a clean , soft cloth and mild dishwashing liquid. Empty and clean the drip
trip as required. Clean the cold reservoir at least once every 3 months.
DO NOT immerse the water dispenser in water. Avoid abrasive cleaning aids such as steel wool, Do not use bleach.
Before cleaning always unplug the water dispenser from the electrical power outlet.
A. To Clean the Outside of the Unit
Use a disinfectant such as a mild dishwashing liquid and warm water to wipe down the outside of the water dispenser.
B. To Pre-Rinse, Rinse and Clean the Inside of the Unit
This water dispenser should be rinsed, cleaned and drained prior to use.
Before cleaning, ensure that the unit is OFF and the unit is unplugged
.
1. Remove the top cover by twisting it counter-clockwise and then lift it up.
2. Pour about 2L of water into the top of the unit where the bottle would be placed.Let the water settle for about 2 minutes.
3. Plug the water dispenser into an electrical outlet and turn the power switch ON. Wait about 1 hour for the water to reach its optimal water temperatures.
4. Unplug the water dispenser.
5. Dispense the water from both the hot and cold water taps (about equally).
6. Place the 3 or 5 gallon bottle of water on the Water Receptacle. Allow about 1 minute for the water to settle. Dispense water from both the Hot and Cold water taps to ensure water flows from both
taps.
7. Plug the water dispenser into an electrical outlet. The water dispenser is ready for use.
C. Storing the Water Dispenser
If the water dispenser is not to be used for an extended period of time, then proceed as below. Before storage.
• Unplug the power cord from the electrical outlet.
• Drain the water through the drain cap underneath the water cooler base.
• Store the water dispenser in an upright position.
This unit has a compressor. Before connecting the Water Dispenser to an electrical outlet, let the water dispenser to stand upright for approximately 2 hours. This will reduce the
possibility of a malfunction in the cooling system while the unit was in transportation.
