1 Installation and use

1.2 How to use the board
The carrier board cannot work alone, it needs to be used in conjunction with the AGX Xavier /AGX
Xavier industry/AGX Orin module. After aligning the inter-board connector with the module high-speed
connector, press evenly with both hands to connect it; and use the screws provided with the product to
reinforce and fix it.
Before using the 1002 carrier board, you must confirm that the AGX Xavier /AGX Xavier
industry/AGX Orin core module has an operating system loaded with realtimes BSP. For the installation of
the operating system and jetpack, please refer to the
AGX Xavier system instruction manual
(Ruitai cloud
network disk/help document).
Power description:
1002 carrier board and AGX Xavier /AGX Xavier industry/AGX Orin module equipment need
+9~+20V power supply. The 12V power supply (optional) supplied with the Realtimes is connected to the
carrier board power socket [P18].
a) Make sure all external systems are powered off
b) Install the AGX Xavier /AGX Xavier industry/AGX Orin core module on the 699-Pin SO-DIMM
connector. During the installation process, please pay attention to the alignment between the connectors,
apply even force, and install the fixing screws at the same time.
c) Install the necessary external cables. (Example: Display cable connected to HDMI display, Power
input cable to power the system,
USB cable linking keyboard and mouse…)
d) Connect the power cord to the power source.
e) RTSO-1002 adopts automatic power-on design, turn on the power and the system starts to work.
