Peakmeter series 1252
Getting started Page 5-1
5. Getting started
5.1. First time operation
The series 1252 peakmeter have been designed for stand alone desktop
operation. They are housing a power supply which generates all necessary
secondary supply voltages. Please asure that the primary voltage selection
of the unit matches with your local mains voltage. The incomming mains can
either be 115 or 230 V AC.
The 1252 series peakmeter is designed in respect to safety class II without
safety ground on the chassis. Nevertheless it must be used with an approved
AC-mains power cord. An ac (mains) power source with safety grounding is
not required.
5.1.1. Changing line voltage selection
After disconnecting the mains cable the rear mains voltage selector may be
set by the use of a flat screw driver. Check to see that the line voltage cor-
rectly matches the voltage in use in your area. The mains fuse can be found
at the side of the mains voltage selector. It must be changed when switching
the voltage selector to another mains voltage!
Be sure the proper value fuse is used for the voltage range selected
(230 V 50 mA slow blow or 115 V 100 mA slow blow). Setting of
voltage selector and changing fuse must be done only when mains
power cable is unplugged!
