ENGLISH

Before starting to cut, extract all nails and other metal pieces from the wood.
These items can damage the disk and/or fly off in an uncontrolled manner,
which could cause an accident.

Position of the gauge for diagonal cutting

Loosen the knob to remove the gauge and its support from the guide-rail that
holds them in place.
The gauge support is placed in the guide-rail located in parallel to the cutting
disk.

The following rules should be strictly observed in order to avoid accidents.
1.-  Keep the workplace clean. Untidy areas and benches are prone to cau-

sing damage.

2.-  Protect the workplace:

-do not expose the machine to rain.
-do not use the cutting-off machine in wet or damp places.
-keep the workplace well lit.
-do not use the cutting-off machine in the presence of inflammable gas-
ses or liquids

3.-

Place the machine on a solid, level, dry and non-vibrating surface.

4.-  Avoid body contact with earthed or grounded surfaces.
5.-  Remove any objects located around the machine. (The cutting-off

machine should always be free of any object or tool).

6.-  Wear adequate clothing. Do not wear baggy clothing and before star-

ting work, take off any rings, wristwatches, bracelets, etc, that could get
caught in the moving parts.

7.-  Non-slip footwear is recommended when working outdoors.
8.-  Wear protective headwear if you have long hair.
9.-  Wear ear protection. The noise level in the workplace tends to be

approximately 85dB.

10.- Wear protective gloves and goggles whenever using the machine.
11.- Wear a facemask as protection against dust.
12.- Never pull the cord to unplug the machine. Keep the cord away from

heat, grease and sharp edges.

13.- Only qualified personnel should be given permission to use the

machine.

14.- Do not force the machine. It will work better and more safely when

used for the purposes it was specifically designed for.

15.- Use the correct model of machine. Do not use a small tool to do a job

that corresponds to a more powerful tool. Do not use tools for pur-
poses they were not designed for.

16.-  Use the pushers.
17.-  Do not use damaged cutting disks.
18.- The machine operator is responsible for his or her safety and that of

other people in the workplace.

19.- Keep other people away. Do not allow other people, especially chil-

dren, who are not related to the work to touch the machine. Keep
them away from the workplace.

20.-  Do not overextend your radius of action. Stand firmly on the ground

and keep your balance at all times.

21.-  Do not use diamond disks with this machine.
22.-  Do not touch the motor once it has been turned on as the heat of the

same could cause burns.

23.-  Unplug the machine from the mains whenever performing any opera-

tion, when doing maintenance, when moving the machine, when repla-
cing the cutting disk and whenever no operator is with the machine.

24.-  Avoid unintentional start-up. Make sure the switch is in the off position

when plugging in the machine.

25.-  When using the machine outdoors, only use extension cables that are

designed for this kind of use.

26.- Be alert. Watch what you are doing, use your common sense and do

not work if you are tired.

27.-  The machine should always be kept in good working condition:

-keep the cutting disks clean for better and safer operation.
-follow the instructions for lubricating and changing accessories.
-periodically examine the cables of your tools and if they are damaged
replace them using the authorised service.
-periodically examine the cables of your tools and if they are damaged
replace them using the authorised service. [esta frase se repite]

28.- Check for damaged pieces each time you use the machine. Carefully

examine the machine to make sure it is going to work properly and will
be appropriate for the job is going to be used for.

29.-  Examine the alignment and tightness of moving parts, check for broken

parts, check the assembly and for other conditions that could affect the
machine’s operation.

30.- If any protection or other part is damaged, these should be repaired

appropriately or replaced by the authorised technical service unless
stated otherwise in this instructions manual.

31.-  Defective switches should be replaced by the technical service.
32.-  Do not use the machine if the switch does not come on or go off.
33.-  The use of any accessory or complement different to those recommen-

ded in this manual could cause the risk of personal damage.

34.-  This machine complies with safety requirements EN-292, EN-294, EN-

61029, UNE-EN 1870-1-2-5 (2000). Repairs should only be performed
by qualified personnel, using original spare parts, otherwise the user
could be put at considerable risk.

35.-  Learn to switch off the motor quickly and get a good knowledge of how

the controls work.

36.-  Users of these machines should be familiar with the safety measures for

the respective operations and should have basic knowledge of safety in
the workplace.

37.-  Never let anybody use the machine without the necessary instructions.
38.-  When not in use, store the machine in a dry, enclosed space.

Maintenance of electric circuit

The electric control system needs no more maintenance than being kept in
a clean, dry place.
If this system is damaged by any knocks, it should not be manipulated, but
rather replaced with a new, original system.

Checking the motor brake

Before starting a day's work, check that the cutting blade takes between 5
and 10 seconds to brake. If it takes more than 10 seconds, send the machi-
ne back to the manufacturer for repair. Never manipulate the motor or the
motor brake!

Storage

The machine is designed for use in bad weather, but should always be sto-
red somewhere where it is protected from the effects of the weather. In
order to ensure the useful life of the cutting-off machine, it should be clea-
ned and stored in a covered place.
