Switch on the motor and start pulling.
The operator stands next to the winch, keeping
a sufficient safety distance
and pulls the pulling rope, applying very little force, at a
90° angle
to the
pulling direction via the safety rope guide.
The force applied should only be strong enough so as to achieve the
desired feed rate.
Pulling with greater force will not increase the capstan
winch's pulling force!
If the pulling rope slips on the reel, you can counteract this by applying
more force when pulling or by winding on a further 1–2 loops.
Do NOT press the rope onto the pulley by hand! Danger of injury!
Due to the ideal wrap factor, RUNPOTEC recommends
polyester pulling
ropes Ø 10 mm.
The cable to be pulled is connected to
the pulling rope – preferably using a
con-
necting swivel.
Switch the motor on
with the
green button
and
off with the red
button.
