INSTRUCTIONS FOR SAFETY AND ACCIDENT PREVENTION DURING WORK
Besides the rules discussed in the “Safety Instructions” leaflet, perform the following:

-

cut off the machine compressed air supply before performing any service operations;

-

pull out the power supply plug from the mains socket before performing any service operations;

-

grip the machine firmly and keep it over the worked surface before switching on;

-

assemble the machine correctly, and place the abrasive material as required.

MACHINE ASSEMBLY
Connect the dust extraction system to rotating dust extraction stub pipe (10).

ABRASIVE MATERIAL FASTENING
Version with perforated caoutchouc plate (abrasive band placed on adhesive).

-

Press the special handle to open the snap fastener blocking abrasive material (7);

-

Slide the abrasive material into the snap fastener, and then release the handle;

-

Repeat the same operations on the opposite side of the plate until the abrasive paper is well-
stretched. Before releasing the handle check if the edges of the paper are parallel to the plate edges.

Version with Velcro-fastened perforated caoutchouc plate.

-

Fix the Velcro-fastened abrasive paper band, pressing it against working plate. Make sure that the
holes in the abrasive material coincide with the dust extraction holes in the caoutchouc working
plate.

-

Make sure that all dust has been removed from the plate.

BEFORE START-UP
Make sure that:

-

the power source complies with the rated parameters of the machine;

-

the power cable and plug are in ideal condition;

-

the power switch works correctly (check with the power cable plug removed from the socket);

-

all machine parts are installed properly and don’t show any damage;

-

the ventilation gaps are not clogged (9);
