To reduce the risk of fire in the oven cavity: 

 

 Do not overcook food. 

 

 Do not leave the microwave oven unattended while you are using it and if using paper or 

plastic containers check regularly to ensure they do not ignite. 

 

 Remove wire twist-ties from bags before putting the bag in the oven. 

 

  If  materials  inside  the  oven  smoke  or  catch  fire,  keep  the  oven  door  closed  to  stifle  the 

flames, turn the oven off at the wall switch, or shut the power off at the fuse or circuit-breaker 
panel. 

 

If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent  or 

similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.
