Network Attached Storage 

Some Network Attached Storage drives, or NAS drives, have built-in DLNA servers. Others can be put together using a 
NAS enclosure and a hard drive purchased separately. It is recommended to put the customer’s media on a NAS drive so 
the content can be accessed at any time, and can also serve as a backup of the media. Here are some examples of NAS

USB Connected Device 

The DMS 3.1 supports USB connected storage devices formatted to FAT or FAT32 file system. The single USB port on the 
front corresponds to stream 1. USB ports for stream 2 and 3 are in the rear.

: content on USB attached storage is accessible 

only

 for the stream it is connected to. 

Note: 

The external USB drive must be 

AC powered

. USB powered drives are not supported.  

Windows Media Player 

A computer running Windows Media can also share music to devices the local network. On the top of Windows Media 
click Stream, then “Allow devices to play my Media.” Then, choose Organize > Manage Libraries > Music and add local 
folders and network folders.
