Note: Perform Steps 35 through 40 if testing the Speaker Outputs with
the “Automated Speaker Test”.
If a Speaker Selector PCB is not available skip to Step 41
35. Connect a cable from the RCK J11 to the Speaker Selector J4.
Use a female header that plugs into the male header of RCK J11.
For the female header solder each Cat5e wire as follows.
Pin 1 to Brown, Pin 2 to Brown/White, Pin 3 to Green, Pin 4 to Green/White,
Pin 5 to Orange, Pin 6 to Orange/White, Pin 7 to Blue, Pin 8 to Blue/White.
Wire the S110P4 end of this cable like the other cables on the RCK.
36. Connect a 12V 1.5A power pack to the Speaker Selector.
37. Build 7 Speaker cables that connect between each zone of the Speaker
Selector and each zone of the MCA-C5.
38. Connect J1 Speaker Selector to Zone 1 Speaker Output MCA-C5.
Connect J6 Speaker Selector to Zone 2 Speaker Output MCA-C5.
Connect J9 Speaker Selector to Zone 3 Speaker Output MCA-C5.
Connect J12 Speaker Selector to Zone 4 Speaker Output MCA-C5.
Connect J15 Speaker Selector to Zone 5 Speaker Output MCA-C5.
Connect J18 Speaker Selector to Zone 6 Speaker Output MCA-C5.
39. Use the 7
th
speaker cable as an extension from the Speaker Selector J3 to
the Speakers when needed.
Note: There is a diagram of the RSS, RCK, and Speaker Selector
connections in the end of the Test Procedure.
40. Once again, the RCK and all RSS are powered by a 12V 1.5A power pack.
Connect the ground, negative, pin of each power pack together.
41. Continue by performing the
“Start MCA-C5 Tests using 240V AC”
section.
