Zone 1
Important: X will reflect the Zone being tested.
1. Press the space bar at the “Zone X ON” dialog.
2. MDK-C5 connected to Zone 1 will illuminate and display “One”.
Display of “One” selects source 1 input.
Display of “Two” selects source 2 input.
Sources 3 – 8 will display a phonetic to select the source.
3. You will hear audio in both speakers and observe the oscilloscope waveform.
Important: Check the oscilloscope and listen for distortion for all sources
on all zones from here to the end of testing.
4. Press the space bar at the “Bass 100% Zone X” dialog. X=Zone being tested.
Bass will increase in both speakers.
Check that no distortion is viewed on the oscilloscope.
5. Press the space bar at the “Bass 50% Zone X” dialog. X=Zone being tested.
Bass will decrease in both speakers.
Check that no distortion is viewed on the oscilloscope.
Important: Be aware that X=Zone being tested. This will apply to the rest of
the test procedure for all audio tests on all zones. This will not
be repeated it again.
6. Press the space bar at the “Treble 100% Zone X” dialog.
Treble will increase in both speakers.
Check that no distortion is viewed on the oscilloscope.
