Triggers
Note: A reading of 10.5 to 11.6 for 12VDC Trigger Outputs
is acceptable. 11.4 VDC is normal.
1. Obtain the
adconlcd.hex
file from Russound Engineering.
Program the PIC18F452 on the IR Switcher PCB with this file.
The PIC needs to be programmed once to continue testing.
To program the PIC on the IR Switcher PCB:
1) Remove jumper J46 located above Source 12 U24.
2) Move J30 jumper to the right two pins of the header.
3) Pin 1 of J31 programming header is the MCLR pin.
Place all jumpers back in the following positions.
1) Install jumper J46 on the left two pins of the header.
2) Move J30 jumper to the left two pins of the header.
Note: The IR Switcher PCB has 8 analog to digital converters.
Only 8 Triggers can be monitored at one time.
2. Press the space bar at the “Triggers” script.
3. All Triggers will be turned off.
4. You will observe all LED’s on the right column go dark.
5. Trigger Output number 1 will turn on for 1.5 seconds.
6. “Trigger 1: 11.4” will register on the IR Switcher PCB display.
7. Trigger Output number 1 will turn off for 1.5 seconds.
8. “Trigger 1: 00.0” will register on the IR Switcher PCB display.
9. Trigger Output number 2 will turn on for 1.5 seconds.
10. Then “Trigger 2: 11.4” will register on the IR Switcher PCB display.
11. Trigger Output number 2 will turn off for 1.5 seconds.
12. Each time a Trigger turns off the IR Switcher PCB will display:
“Trigger 1: 00.0
13. This sequence will occur for each Trigger Output.
14. Should any Trigger fail to turn off this sequence will be broken.
15. The Trigger test passes only when:
1) Each Trigger Output displays it’s Trigger on number and correct voltage.
2) Each Trigger Output displays “Trigger 1: 00.0” and continues to the next
Trigger Output number.
3) All Trigger LED’s on the right column of the IR Switcher PCB are dark.
