BEFORE FIRST USE
As there is a manufacturing residue of oil still in the toaster or heating element, it will
usually emit an odour on fi rst use. This is normal and will not occur after several uses.
For fi rst use, you should follow the operating instructions below, except without bread,
then let the toaster cool down and begin toasting the fi rst slice.
USING YOUR TOASTER
1. Insert regular bread slice into the bread slot, which can be inserted with two slices at
most each time.
NOTE!
Make sure the crumb tray is fully in place before use.
2. Plug the power cord into the outlet.
3. Turn the colour control knob to your desired colour. There are 7 colour settings; the
lowest “1” is for light and the highest “7” is for dark. The bread slice can be toasted to
a golden colour on the middle position.
NOTE!
• The toasting colour for one slice is darker than for two
bread slices toasted on the same setting.
• If toasting continuously, toasting color for the latter bread is
darker than that for the anterior bread at the same level.
4. press the carriage handle down until it clicks into place. The Cancel indicator will be
illuminated, and the appliance will begin toasting at once.
NOTE! The carriage handle will only remain down when the unit is plugged in.
5. Once the bread has been toasted to the preset colour, the carriage handle will automatically
pop up. You can also lift the carriage handle slightly to make removing the bread easier.
