Safety, performance, and dependability have been given
top priority in the design of your rotary hammer drill.
INTENDED USE
This rotary hammer drill is intended to be used only by
adults who have read and understood the instructions and
warnings in this manual and can be considered responsible
for their actions. It is to be used by a single operator by
grasping both trigger and side handles.
The rotary hammer drill is designed to operate without
hammer function into wood and metal. For chiselling and
masonry drilling, the hammer mode may be used.
The rotary hammer drill is designed to operate with drill
bits up to the maximum diameter defined in the product
specification table.
Do not use the product in any way other than those stated
for intended use.

HAMMER SAFETY WARNINGS
■
Wear ear protectors.
Exposure to noise can cause
hearing loss.

Use auxiliary handle(s), if supplied with the tool.
Loss of control can cause personal injury.
■
Hold power tool by insulated gripping surfaces
when performing an operation where the cutting
accessory may contact hidden wiring.
Cutting
accessory contacting a “live” wire may make exposed
metal parts of the power tool “live” and could give the
operator an electric shock.
■
Hold power tool by insulated gripping surfaces,
when performing an operation where the fastener
may contact hidden wiring.

Wear safety goggles to protect your eyes from flying
particles and splinters.
ADDITIONAL SAFETY WARNINGS
■
Always ensure you hold the product securely. Twisting
of the product if it becomes jammed may result in injury
or loss of control of the product.
■
Do not operate the forward /reverse or mode selector
switches when the product is running. Wait for it to
completely stop before changing direction or mode.
■
Drill bits or chisels will become hot during use. They
may also be sharp. Wear suitable gloves and take care
when changing or adjusting these acceseries to avoid
personal injury.
■
When working in walls, floors or ceilings, take care to
avoid cables, gas and water pipes.
■
Clamp your workpiece with a clamping device to prevent
unexpected movement. Unclamped workpieces can
cause severe injury and damage.
■
The dust produced when using the product may be
harmful to your health, inflammable or explosive. Do not
inhale the dust. Use a dust extraction system and wear
a suitable dust protection mask. Remove deposited
dust thoroughly, e.g., with a brush and vacuum cleaner.
If the drill bit or chisel becomes jammed in the workpiece
during use:
■
Immediately release the trigger.
■
Remove the battery pack from the product.
■
Release the bit or chisel from the SDS adaptor. Do not
try to extract the jammed bit with the product attached
to it.
■
Extract the jammed bit or chisel by other means.
Example: large pliers or wrench. Note: If you are
uncertain about how to extract a jammed bit or chisel,
seek professional advice from a reputable builder or
similar tradesman.
TRANSPORTING LITHIUM BATTERIES
Transport the battery in accordance with local and national
provisions and regulations.
Follow all special requirements on packaging and labelling
when transporting batteries by a third party. Ensure that
no batteries can come in contact with other batteries
or conductive materials while in transport by protecting
exposed connectors with insulating, non-conductive caps
or tape. Do not transport batteries that are cracked or
leaking. Check with the forwarding company for further
advice.
RESIDUAL RISKS
Even when the product is used as prescribed, it is still
impossible to completely eliminate certain residual
risk factors. The operator should pay particular and
additional attention to these points in order to reduce
the risk of serious personal injury.

Injury to hearing – Wear suitable ear protection and
limit exposure.
■
Injury to sight – Wear protective eye shields or
goggles when using the product.
■
Injury caused by vibration – Limit exposure and
follow the instructions on risk reduction in this
manual.
■
Electric shock after contact with hidden wires – Hold
the product only by insulated surfaces.
■
Respiratory injury – Dust created by operating the
product, wear suitable protection dependent on
type of dust.
