MAINTENANCE
Remove the four Torx head screws that secure the battery
compartment cover in place. Remove the cover and set
aside.
Disconnect the battery thermistor plug. This plug con-
nects the batteries to the charging port.
Remove and set aside the rear crossmember by removing
the hex head bolts and nuts shown.
Remove the spacers, flat washers, lock washers, and hex
head bolts that secure the battery tray tabs.
Fully extend the battery tray, resting the end outside the
mower on a stable surface that will support a minimum
300 lb. weight.
WARNING:
The battery tray is very heavy and may require two people
to extend. We recommend the use of a hydraulic table-
type cart (or similar device) to extend the tray. Failure
to properly extend and support the battery tray could
result in serious personal injury, as well as damage to
the mower.
WARNING:
Under extreme usage or temperature conditions, battery
leakage may occur. If liquid comes in contact with your
skin, wash immediately with soap and water. If liquid gets
into your eyes, flush them with clean water for at least 10
minutes, then seek immediate medical attention. Follow-
ing this rule will reduce the risk of serious personal injury.
Remove and set aside the battery covers for the battery
or batteries being replaced.
NOTE:
You may need to slightly lift the securing bracket
to be able to remove the cover(s).
