Pre-cleaning soiled protective clothing
1. Wash off reflective strips with a damp sponge.
2. Pre-treat adhered soiling with a prewash.
Cleaning
1. Adhere to the washing and care symbols on the label of the protective clothing.
2. Wash the protective clothing in accordance with the label.
Contaminated protective clothing requires special cleaning:
In case of contamination from oil, grease, fuel or other harmful sub-
stances, use chemical or dry cleaning methods.
In case of contamination from body fluids or other pathogenic con-
tamination, clean with disinfectant.
3. Dry the protective clothing in accordance with the label.
4. Iron the protective clothing in accordance with the label.
Re-impregnation
Protective clothing has to be re-impregnated periodically using a fluorocarbon res-
in-based treatment because dirt, water and chemical resistance properties deteriorate
with use.
The frequency of re-impregnation depends on the intensity of use of the clothing.
Re-impregnation is usually advisable and necessary after 3
–
5 washing and drying cy-
cles.
1. Check the impregnation with a spray test. If the water is absorbed by the fabric and
does not drip off, re-apply the impregnation. Re-impregnate chemically cleaned
protective clothing after each cleaning cycle.
Refer to the respective product instructions for information on the care
of accessories.
