Europska smjernica 2012/19/EU o otpadu električne i
elektroničke opreme (WEEE), propisuje da se stare kućanske
električne uređaje ne smije odlagati u normalan nerazvrstani
komunalni otpad�
Stari se uređaji moraju zbrinjavati odvojeno kako bi se
optimiziralo povrat i recikliranje materijala koje oni sadrže te
smanjio štetan utjecaj na ljudsko zdravlje i okoliš�
Simbol prekrižene “kante za smeće” na uređaju vas podsjeća
na vašu obvezu da se, kada odlučite baciti uređaj, on mora
zbrinjavati odvojeno od ostalog otpada�
Potrošači se trebaju obratiti svojim lokalnim vlastima ili
prodavaču vezano za informacije o pravilnom zbrinjavanju svog
starog uređaja�
