CHECKING CVS VISION SYSTEMS
7.1.1
PROCEDURE FOR CHECKING THE CAPTURE AND EJECTION DEVICES
This procedure is carried out to verify the sensor/encoder and reject device work correctly.
A box of products to be inspected must be at hand (it does not matter if the pieces are defective or defect-free).
- Select the page for advanced settings of the tracking line on the interface.
- Check presence sensor operation by activating the device manually: the relative indication signal should activate
on the user interface at the same time.
- Turn on the conveyor belt and see whether the encoder, if present, works efficiently. The relative message should
appear on the user interface.
- Press the Test button to see if the reject device works in a trouble-free manner.
- Set the system to operate with the synchronized capture and allow the products to travel.
- Select the various ejection modes and check operation:
- none:
no pieces should be ejected;
- all
all the pieces should be ejected;
- alternating every other piece should be ejected;
- group
the products should be ejected in groups of four.

Adjusting the front-back image shooting station
Perform the procedure below:
- loosen the dowel pins that secure the lens; if the dowel pins are not provided, skip this operation;
- adjust the dimensions of the cap to be inspected with reference to the quick setting guide and to CVS3000 manual
for cap check;
- adjust focusing using the special software instrument: “contrast”;
- secure focusing setting using the special dowel pins and brackets.
