4.3 Network Configuration:
4.3.1 STATIC
If you were assigned a specific IP address for your SWSIP-1000, use the following directions to
set your SWSIP-1000 to use it.
4.3.2 DHCP
If you were not assigned a specific IP address for your SWSIP-1000, use the following directions
to set your SWSIP-1000 to get it automatically via DHCP (Dynamic Host Control Protocol).
4.3.3 PPPoE
Point-to-Point Protocol over Ethernet (PPPoE) functions as a dial-up connection. PPPoE is an
IETF (Internet Engineering Task Force) draft standard specifying how a host personal
computer interacts with a broadband modem (for example DSL, cable, wireless, etc.) to
achieve access to high-speed data networks.
Use the following screen to set your SWSIP-1000 to use PPPoE for your Internet connection.You
must have a user name (PPPoE username) and password from you ISP.
