Securing Child in Car Seat
Place Child in Car Seat
Your child’s bottom and back
should be fl at against the car
seat.
Buckle Harness
Pull the harness straps up
to make sure the buckle
is locked.
Fasten Chest Clip
Insert right half of the chest
clip into the left half and
snap together.
Tighten Harness
Pull the harness adjustment
strap straight out to snugly
tighten the harness.
Position Chest Clip
Slide the chest clip up the
harness straps and position
it at mid-chest (even with
armpits) and away from
your child’s neck.
Unfasten the harness covers.
Try to pinch the harness
at the shoulders vertically
between index fi nger and
thumb as shown.
If your fi ngers slip off
, the
harness is tight enough.
If you can pinch the
harness strap
, tighten more.
Fasten the harness covers.
