To Change Buckle
Position
Remove child. From under
the seat, insert buckle’s
metal retainer up through
the child restraint and pad.

Check Buckle
Position
Determine which of the
available buckle positions
will be most comfortable
and provide a snug fit for
your child.

Choose new location and
push the metal retainer
through pad and child
restraint. Make sure the
buckle is facing out.

Pull on the buckle to check
to make sure buckle’s
metal retainer is completely
inserted through the pad
and child restraint.

Buckle Placement for
Small Infants
Choose the slot closest to
the back of the restraint.
Push metal retainer through
the pad and child restraint.
Make sure buckle is facing
out.

From the bottom, pull the
metal retainer through the
child restraint and insert it
into the middle slot.

From the front, lift pad up
and place the buckle’s
metal retainer flush
on bottom of the child
restraint. Replace the
pad.
f.
Pull on the buckle to check
to make sure buckle’s
metal retainer is secured.
g.
Failure to reinstall the harness system
