Cleaning Probe Tip:

 •   Clean before and after each use.

 •   Use an alcohol swab to wipe clean.

Basics of Your Thermometer

Normal Body Temperature

Temperature readings are different from person to person and 

also vary depending upon the body location from which the 

temperature is measured. For example: Oral temperatures tend 

to be comparable to ear temperatures for the same individual. 

Temperature readings are affected by many factors including 

exercise, drinking hot or cold beverages prior to taking a reading as 

well as technique.
“Normal” temperature refers to each individual’s average 

temperature while healthy.  You may want to measure and record 

your child’s temperature a few times when he or she is well, so 

that you will know what is normal for your own child.  On average, 

temperature ranges are as follows:

To Replace Battery:

1    Use a miniature Phillips head 

screwdriver to loosen battery 

cover screw. Remove cover and 

old battery.

2    Insert a new 3 volt battery 

(CR2032 or equivalent), 

correctly positioned with the 

positive side facing up as 

shown in the illustration.

3   Place the battery cover on the 

thermometer and secure the 

cover.

While the thermometer is off, press and hold the Power/Measure 

button for about 3 seconds. You will see F or a C display on the 

screen and then hear a short beep. Your thermometer is now in 

the mode that just appeared on the screen. To switch back, leave 

thermometer off and hold the button for another 3 seconds.

How to Measure Temperature

Ensure that thermometer is at room temperature, waiting 15 minutes if necessary.  

One (1) Year Limited Warranty

free from material and workmanship defects when used under normal conditions for a period 

of one (1) year from the date of purchase. Should the product contain defects in material or

    Put the tip of thermometer into water bath, approximately 1/2” 

below the surface.

    Wait for 15 seconds, then turn on the thermometer by pressing the
