With weakest hand at
belt path, tilt and push the
child restraint forward
and back, and from side
to side. If the seat belts
do not loosen, your
child restraint should be
secure.
NOTE:
Some “play” from
front to back or about
an inch from side to side
is acceptable. If it moves
more, review “Knowing
Your Vehicle Belts”
and “The Locking Clip”
sections.

Using this child restraint in any vehicle seat
where the lap belt cannot be tightened
securely and properly or where it can be
loosened by pulling on it, can result in
serious injury or death.
Do not use the lower anchorage system
(LATCH system) to attach this child
restraint when restraining a child
weighing more than 40 lbs (18 kg)
with the internal harnesess of the child
restraint.

Pull one LATCH hook
