Information Panel
The information panel is on the left side of the application and displays the speed, direction, and G-
Force outputs collected from the video recordings as well as acts as the control center for playback
functions.
Compass
The compass displays the current driving direction of the vehicle during the recording. It also displays
the latitude and longitude of the vehicle under the compass for GPS purposes. You can view these
coordinates on a map by clicking the
in the settings bar.
G-Force Meter
The G-Force Meter displays the output of the embedded accelerometer in G measurements. This
information can be used to determine things like hard acceleration/braking (Y-Axis), hard turns/corners
(X-Axis), and impacts (Z-Axis). As a general rule of thumb, anything over 2G is a hard brake/acceleration
or turn. Impact readings vary based on road conditions (such as pot holes, speed bumps, etc.).
Vehicle Speed
The Vehicle Speed meter is the speed of travel of the vehicle during video recording. The measurement
can be adjusted from mph to km/h in the settings bar by clicking
.
Playback Speed
The playback speed section allows the user to advance through the video playback as well as adjust the
speed in which the video plays.
Volume
The volume section adjusts the volume of the recorded audio on the video playback. This function is
only available on DVRs that have the optional audio service subscription.
Playback Controls
The playback controls are common video player controls; such as pause, rewind, fast forward, etc.
Settings
The setting controls allow the user to customize the software; as well as open files, view maps, initiate
backups, and take snapshots.
