The normally non-inflammable and non-toxic fog can decompose on hot surfaces, turning into foul-smelling
and harmful decompositon products.
Note
: Single candle flames and other small heat sources as well as central heating’s, other closed heating
systems and electric machines, reflectors etc. represent no danger at all and need not be taken into consid-
eration.
USE IN PLACES WITH PUBLIC ADMITTANCE
In places with public admittance the fog concentration has to be controlled, so that the fog does not mask
any safety devices and constructions, such as emergency exits, safety signs, stairs and similar equipments.
In the immediate surroundings of the machine, small quantities of liquid may drop to the floor. These have to
be removed or access to this area has to be prohibited to the public
(skid risk!)
.
Occasional discharge of small quantities of fog during the heating stage is due to construction and without
importance.
WARNING
: Any use of other than SAFEX
®
fog fluids or opening of the machine during the warranty period
will immediately void the warranty as well as the responsibility of the producer.
D INFORMATION FOR USE
FOG PRODUCTION
The fog is produced by a chemical/physical reaction of the substances contained in the fog fluid with the at-
mospheric humidity which takes place in the area within 10 cm in front of the fog outlet. This process
does
not have to be disturbed by attaching hoses etc
.
During this process microscopically small particles are formed, which are similar to water vapour in real fog.
The durability of the fog can be varied by choosing different types of fluid.
There are also special sorts for outdoor use and similar special purposes available.

sorts can be mixed with each other in order to produce fog according to one's own desire.
However, the mixture cannot be effected by placing the lever to choose the tank on „half“-position.
GROUND FOG
Ground fog can be generated by placing a
SAFEX
®
-NEBELKÜHLER
(fog cooler), filled with dry ice, in front
of the machine. The fog is conducted through the fog cooler tunnel, cools slightly below room temperature
and thus remains close to the floor for some time.
The cooling effect depends on the quantity of fog blown through the fog cooler. If very durable ground fog is
needed, it is recommendable to use 2 coolers connected in series or the
SAFEX
®
-JUMBO-FOG-COOLER
.
For best results, use
INSIDE-NEBELFLUID BLITZ
or
„460“
because the damp fog, warming up slowly and
thereby rising, will volatilize sooner.
FOG DISTRIBUTION
The distribution of fog depends
exclusively
on the flow of air and the temperature at the place of operation.
To cover an area quickly with fog, move the machine to and from or up and down in the flow of air in order to
generate large clouds within a short time.
The fog can be conducted further by means of the
SAFEX
®
-HOSE ADAPTOR
as well as the
SAFEX
®
SPIRAL HOSE
. In this way, there will be sufficient space between fog outlet and opening of spiral hose (ap-
prox. 10 cm) in order to allow as much air as possible to flow in, which is absolutely necessary for a perfect
formation of the fog.
For this purpose, push the
HOSE ADAPTOR
over the
FOG OUTLET PROTECTION TUBE
and fix it with a
SCREW. Push the
SPIRAL HOSE
approximately 2 - 3 cm over the
ADAPTOR RING
and fix it with a
HOSE
CLAMP
.
It is inadmissible to fix hoses etc. directly at the fog outlet or at the fog outlet protection tube; we
dissuade from doing this because it can cause damages or can be dangerous.
