GENERAL:
SAFEX
®
-INSIDE-FOG FLUID
was developed in 1972 and placed on the market 1973. It was the first safe product at all, with which a contamination-free and really
safe, white and dense indoor fog could be produced by means of electrical fog devices for theaters, film and photo studios, airflow and physical tests, firefighting
exercises etc.
This statement has not changed to this day.
Now in use for more than 45 years, it has caught on as
the fog agent of choice
in all areas of artificial fog production. Its worldwide use has proven that
SAFEX
®
-
INSIDE-FOG FLUID
does not pose any substantial danger or health risks; it is “the” fog fluid that has been tried and tested for the longest time and is therefore the
safest.
The pure white and realistic fog is
not flammable and is completely free of oil and grease
. It does not irritate the eyes or respiratory tract, has a neutral odor, is
not harmful to health and is generally accepted by very sensitive persons. When

in suitable devices, it does not leave greasy deposits on floors or
textiles, even when used frequently; neither the device nor its surroundings will be soiled. The practically complete biodegradability is another important advantage
of

-FOG FLUIDS

The fog is generated by vaporizing the fluids in fog machines. The escaping vapor particles react with the ambient air and condense into billions of tiny, highly light
reflecting droplets. These are distributed according to the prevailing air flows to dense fog clouds or transparent haze.

require an
increased evaporation temperature
to enable their highly effective active substances to fully develop. Unlike many imitations,
the water content is limited to the
necessary minimum
. With the high active substance content, these results in a
significantly higher reflection density and
thus a high yield
with the same throughput volume compared to highly water-containing (cheap) fluids.
The durability and density of the fog can be controlled very well by the possible choice between different
SAFEX
®
-FLUID VARIETIES
. Decisive criteria are: The fog
particle lifetime (short, long and extremely long durability) and the density of the fog (hazy, very hazy, dense, extremely dense).

are not only
characterized by their high chemical purity and compatibility, but also by their miscibility with each other, so that the user can generate fog according to his own
requirements.

OPERATING PRINCIPLE:
The fog is
generated
by evaporation of the fog liquid in suitable,
electrically pre-heated fog machines, e. g. the
SAFEX
®
-FOG MA-
CHINES
, where the escaping vapor particles react with the colder
ambient air and form an/ a (indoor) fog very similar to real fog. By
selecting different types of fluid, the appearance and durability of the
fog can be controlled:

GENERAL
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE:
Properly designed, functional fog machines are a prerequisite for a
perfect generation of fog.
Primarily all new or in good condition/ serviced
SAFEX
®
-FOG GENER-
ATORS
as well as fog machines designed and manufactured according
to the
SAFEX
®
principle
are suited. Insofar,
SAFEX
®
-INSIDE-FOG
FLUID
is also suitable for some devices of other manufacturers with
sufficient evaporator capacity; the suitable models can be provided on
request.
All
SAFEX
®
-INSIDE-FOG FLUID
varieties are intermiscible, so that fog
can also be produced as required. The standard varieties produce the
same volume (quantity) of fog; however, due to the longer durability of
the
“SUPER”
and
“DUNST”
varieties, the quantities of fog add up
with continuous post-production.Fog can only be colored by light*

distorted by slide or film projection or formed into ground fog by means
of so-called “NEBELKÜHLER” (FOG COOLERS).

is particularly suitable for this.

Any mixing in of foreign substances is therefore senseless and should be avoided.
Since the fog particles have practically no inherent movement, they
only follow the surrounding air and thus make air flows visible. To
conduct the fog, only temperature differences or air flows are of signif-
icance. The fog can also be passed through tubes or hoses under
certain conditions; smaller diameters require very special solutions.
