7.3.4 Changing wireless settings (WLAN)

Activating/Deactivating WLAN
Use this menu to activate/deactivate the wireless connection.
In CHANGE SETTINGS, select the relevant action, ACTIVATE WLAN or DEACTIVATE WLAN.
Changing Wireless Settings
In CHANGE SETTINGS, select WIRELESS SETTINGS and press
OK
.
Use the automatic configuration
if your wireless network is visible and authorizes devices to detect it
and register.
1.
.Select AUTOMATIC with or , and press
OK
.
2.
The receiver searches for available wireless networks.
3.
The wireless network screen appears, displaying the following information:
•
name of the network found (SSID)
•
security set on the network - none (unsecured), WEP, WPA-PSK or WPA2-PSK
4.
To modify the value of a setting, select it and press
OK
.
5.
Confirm your modifications by selecting SAVE and pressing
OK
Use the manual configuration
if your wireless network is not visible but authorizes devices to detect it
and register. To do so, have the following network information ready: SSID network name, Security type
and key.

Select MANUAL with or , and press
OK
.
2.
Select the SSID field and press
OK
.
3.
Enter the name of the wireless network using the virtual keyboard. Confirm your entry by selecting SAVE
and pressing
OK
.
4.
Select the SECURITY TYPE field and press
OK
.
5.
Select the type of security used on the network (unsecured, WEP, WPA-PSK or WPA2-PSK) with
and , and press
OK
.
6.
Select the SECURITY KEY field and press
OK
.
7.
Enter the security key using the virtual keyboard. Confirm your entry by selecting SAVE and
pressing
OK
.
8.
Confirm your modifications by selecting SAVE and pressing
OK
.
