7.5.4 Guard Time (Recording Extra Time)
This menu lets you set recording margins, ’guard times’, which will be automatically added to the
recording bookings you made manually or from the electronic program guide. You can thus set the
receiver so that it starts to record a program before its announced start time, and stops after its
announced end time.
You can set recording guard time to be:
•
Manual
: you define starting and ending guard times which will be added to all recordings.
•
Automatic
: the receiver automatically adds guard times to recordings.
By default, the receiver is set to automatic mode.

Press the
MENÜ
key.

Select SETTINGS with or , and press
OK
.
3.
Select RECORDINGS with or , and press
OK

right
key.
4.
Select GUARD TIME with or , and press
OK
or the
right
key.
5.
Select the desired mode, MANUAL or AUTOMATIC.
6.
If you selected MANUAL, define the desired guard times:
•
In START TIME, enter the desired number of minutes (from 00 to 99 - for example

).
•
In END TIME, enter the desired number of minutes (from 00 to 99 - for example
30
).
•
In our example, the receiver will start recording any booking 1 minute before their start time, and will
stop recording 14 minutes after their end time.

Press
OK
to confirm the new setting.
