10.Troubleshooting
Symptom
Action
The remote control is not working.
•
Press the
EXIT
key to switch to receiver mode.
•
Point the remote control at the receiver.
•
Check the battery life and check the batteries are inserted
properly.
The receiver displays a black screen or an
error message.

Check all the connections, check the antenna and search

There is no sound in HOME CINEMA
mode on some channels.

Check that the receiver is connected to a HOME CINEMA
amplifier through the optical SPDIF connection (see

Black and white video on VCR output
(during VCR/DVD recording).
•
Check that the signal type chosen for VCR Scart output is
compatible with your VCR (see
A black screen (no video) appears at the
end of a recording.

When a recording ends on a program which does not
transmit any interpretable recording video signal (Teletext
feature, fixed image, switch from unscrambled to
scrambled transmission, broadcast with video placeholder,
etc.), the video recording stops but the time counter
continues until the end of the scheduled recording time.
