7.4 Parental Control
The PARENTAL CONTROL menu lets you change the parental control PIN stored on your smartcard(s). If
you are using SELECT VIDEO you can also change the Adult/FSK 18-PIN, lock the access to SELECT
VIDEO purchases by PIN and show a purchase confirmation pop up for SELECT VIDEO orders.
To return to the previous screen and save your changes, use the
ZURÜCK
or the
left
key.
To exit the menu screen, press the
MENÜ
or
EXIT
key.
7.4.1 Change Parental Control PIN
The Parental Control PIN is used to PIN-lock access to parental rated channels, programs and
recordings. Each time you switch to a parental rated channel or program, or you are about to play a
parental rated recording, the receiver asks for the Parental Control PIN. The program or recording will not
play unless the parental control PIN is correctly entered.
Please consider the following when changing the Parental Control PIN:
•
the PIN is a four digit code
•
you must enter the current PIN before you can change it
•
the current PIN must match the PIN stored on the smartcard
•
the new PIN must be different from the current PIN
•
the new PIN must be different from the Adult/FSK 18-PIN
•
the new PIN cannot consist of four identical digits
•
if you enter an incorrect PIN three consecutive times, access will be denied for 10 minutes.
To change the Parental Control PIN on your smartcard:
1.
Press the
MENÜ
key.
2.
Select SETTINGS with or , and press
OK
.
3.
Select PARENTAL CONTROL with or , and press
OK
or the
right
key.
4.
Select CHANGE PIN with or , and press
OK
or the
right
key.
5.
Enter the current four digit PIN using the numeric keys on
the remote control.
6.
Enter your new four digit PIN.
7.
Enter again your new four digit PIN.
8.
Press
ZURÜCK
to close the popup which confirms that the Parental Control PIN has been
changed successfully.
