2.6 Powering On/Off the receiver
Once you have connected all the appliances together (receiver, TV, VCR, ...), you can connect the
receiver to the mains and power on the receiver.
To
power on
the receiver, proceed as follows:
1.
Ensure that the On/Off switch located on the rear panel of the receiver is on Off (position 0).
2.
Connect the power cord into the power connector of the receiver.
3.
Plug the power cord into a mains socket located near the device and easily accessible.
4.
Press the On/Off switch to switch the receiver on (position I).
You can now proceed to the initial setup of your receiver.
If you need to
power off
the receiver (for maintenance, before a long period of no use, ...), proceed as
follows:
1.
Ensure that no recordings are in progress (
Rec
button on the front lit red) or are scheduled (
Rec
button
on the front lit green). If necessary, cancel them (see
Viewing and Managing your Recordings
2.
Put the receiver on standby mode by pressing the On/Off key on the remote control or the On/Off button
on the front panel of the receiver.
3.
Press the On/Off switch located on the rear panel to switch the receiver off (position O).
4.
Unplug the power cord from the mains socket.
