The HTE400 fi re damper can only protect against fi re and smoke if it is installed correctly in approved walls.
IF THE WALL HAS LESS RESISTANCE THAN THE FIRE DAMPER, THE DAMPER RESISTANCE WILL BE REDUCED TO
THAT OF THE BRICKWORK.
ASSEMBLY PROCEDURE
PHASE 1
In walls being built to a thickness of
100 mm
include an opening
with
width equivalent to (W x 2) + 170 mm and height equiv-
alent to (H + 90 mm) with respect to the nominal damper
measurements
.
Apply a layer of adhesive mortar to the bottom of
the opening.
