Procedure for replacing the piston
To prevent accidents
it is
advisable to take care around
the lever’s area of operation,
as outlined in the diagram.
1. Check the condition of the
damper.
To
DEACTIVATE
the damp-
er,
if activated
, use the pis-
ton
(1)
and turn the lever
(2)
clockwise until the damper is
closed completely .
Beware of the restoring
force of the spring.
2.
Use a spanner to unscrew the piston’s
four M5 clamping screws on the sup-
port plate. The screws are fi tted with
washers.
3. REMOVE
the piston and replace it.
4.
To
RESET
the fi re damper use the pis-
ton
(1)
and turn the lever
(2)
anti-clock-
wise.
Once the lever is in a horizontal posi-
tion release the piston at the relevant
position
(3
) on the lever.
