Circular duct heater
Heater can be installed in any position (see picture below) except electrical connection box downward. If heater is installed in such way that can be
accidental contact with heating elements, protective grill must be installed. Air flow through heater must be not less 1,5 m/s. Heaters can not be in-
stalled in explosive and aggressive substances atmosphere. Heaters can be used only for clean air heating. Heaters intended for inside installation.
Heaters installation position:
EKS NV PTC/PS, EKS NV PH installation
Casing and air duct before heater should be insulated with rock wool 10 cm (R~2,4m²K/W). It is recommended to install air filter before the
heater.

Depending on the installation location of the heater in the duct relative to the engine (before or behind the engine), the pressure hose therefore has to
be attached to a “+” or the “-” tube. If heater is installed behind engine “-” tube inside, “+” tube before the engine.

– we recommend install duct temperature sensor in minimum distance multiplied by the heater’s height. For example: heater EKS
height 200mm, sensor’s installation length will be: 200x3=600 mm.
INDICATION of LED lamps on EKS NV PTC/PS, EKS NV PH casing
1.
LED1
Flashing 1 time per 3 seconds – EKR KN warming up (~30 s)
Flashing 1 time within second – EKR KN ready, Lights up – fault of duct temperature sensor T J-K10K, or air flow sensor PTC fault.
2.
LED2
Lights up – load is on (heating).
1. Electrical connection can be made only by qualified electrician according legal international and national electrical installation standards.
2. Power supply source must conform with data on heater label.
3. Power supply cable must be selected corresponding to heater electrical data.
4. Automatic circuit breaker with at least 3 mm contact gap must be installed. Automatic circuit breaker must and relay be selected corresponding to
technical data table.
5. Heater must be grounded.
6. For heaters install duct temperature sensor and connect as in wiring diagram.
